2011 FBI Uniform Crime Report murder data

I pulled the FBI's Uniform Crime Report table 20 on murder rates and converted it for posting here. Note the total number of "rifle" murders vs. others such as blades, clubs, and hands/feet.

There were 323 murders committed with all types of rifles, 356 with various shotguns, 728 with hands/feet, 1,689 with blades. That's over 5 times as many murders with bladed instruments than with all types of rifles and twice the rate of murders with just hands and feet as with rifles.

Um, don't want to cherry pick your data... but I can find no reference to the number of shootings/murders/ by those people using hand guns. Rifles, shotguns and knives - yes. But what about handguns?

Dave, you may want to take another look the data. The table above lists handguns as a sub category of firearms.
