97B4B0EE-62D6-40DA-98C4-DF3BDCFFE946.jpeg and what did you accumulate in the way of handguns this year and were you happy with your purchase?
From the top to bottom, Springfield RO 9MM, S&W 66 (pre lock) and Sig P365.
The Sig has been perfect from the word go and is an excellent carry piece. What can I say about the Smith & Wesson, beautiful, reliable and accurate. Now, the RO has needed some work. Installed a steel firing pin to get rid of light hits, had a gunsmith use a finish reamer on the chamber (chamber was to tight) and have done some trigger work and is down to 5 pounds. Had lots of creep and was 9 pounds when I got it. A little more stoning on the hammer and sear I think.
Over all my three purchases this year will be keepers. How did you fair?

    Nice looking group you got.

Picked up an Uberti Walker, converted an Uberti 3rd model Dragoon with a .45 Colt Kirst kit, got a .45 Colt Ruger Vaquero and a Sig P365. Aside from that, numerous adjustments and minor 'smithing to some older guns that have been languishing in the safe unloved for many years. For some reason this was a very active summer and year for me in that regard.

Haven't bought a pistol in a few years past one I traded a k frame for a j frame 38 for my loving wife. She shoots pistols betterer than me so maybe now I have an excuse for a more accurate revolver, lol. Call me ignorant but I have such a mountain of 38 components now I'd like a 3" sp101 in .38 but not 357. I think I have a dozen empty 357 cases....

Every firearm I purchased this year was lost in a series of tragic boating accidents on the way home.

I gathered a couple more 32acps; a Beretta Tomcat 3032 and a surplus Beretta 81 but gave away my old 81 at that time.

I would say you've done exceptionally well both in handgun selection and caliber choice!

Thanks! Yep it was a busy year for sure. Definitely refined my collection a bit. Kept the costs minimal also due to trades.

I also started loading three new cartridges this year also.

For the last few years I sort of have been interested more in black powder handguns than anything more modern. Did manage to get back into the current swing of things with this CZ P07 late last year.

A S&W 639 from an estate, $300. Had to be returned to S&W, a recall to sort out issues with the safety/decocker. Also purchase a couple of rifles, Russian SKS and a 1894 Marlin in .44 Magnum.

I went on a buying spree this year rifle handgun and shotgun, maybe a bit irresponsibly as I have months to catch up on credit card debt hoping that nothing goes wrong in the meantime which in August my cat needed surgery for a massive hairball stuck in his colon for instance, and the year isn't even over yet.

I'd have to stop and make a list to realize just what I got this year in review lol, but off the top some highlights are a Colt Anaconda I wanted for decades, scored a nice Remington-Rand 1911A1, satisfying my want for a nice U.S G.I 1911.

And ammo....lol spent a lot on that this year also, all the 10 shot challenges done this year amplified my ammo buying.

The sick part is even now I have another window open for gun broker browsing listings lolo_O

Still need a nice Luger and Python,......maybe one day.

What I REALLY NEED is another safe.

They are my boys, love them even when they wake me a 5AM wanting some love:scrutiny:. They act like dogs in a way, waiting at the door when I get home, bringing toys to me wanting to play, laying next to me right now as I am on the net. Had to save my boy Zeek's life, would have lost him without the surgery. All happy cat again now, waking me up at early hours in the morning:scrutiny:

Speaking of being on the net, managed to close gun broker, but opened up black Friday deals and it looks like a PSA AR-10 may be coming my way, oh well what's yet another month of catching up when there is a DEAL to be had lol

Yep. Cats. I get it. My boy lets me know what I’m doing wrong. My girl helps me clean guns.
