2019 Rifle Goals?

I'd like to add a lever action rifle (.44 or .45LC) to my safe and an AR10 (7.62). I'd also really like a 45-70.

We'll see if life and budgets allow some or all...

Not buying any more......

I feel ya on that, would like to not also, really need to think about the house again. Problem is auction sites and maybe a gunshow, something pops up on my screen or in front of my eyes and it's like "no no no, I can't I DO have self control".....and then "well I can't let THAT one go" and click.

A Ruger SR762 is been on my mind ever since I held one, whether it happens in 2019 I don't know. Then there are handguns on the desire list also, and I really need a good clay shotgun for when I go out with the buds clay busting instead of always borrowing theirs.

Actually one goal is get a scope for my M 700 .270 and get that dialed in and thanks to member here one giving me advice on which scope to consider.

I... am the only person on the forum who doesn't own an AR15.

2019 is going to be a busy and expensive year for me. Ideally, I'd like to pick up at least one good quality AR. I'm thinking Colt or better, 10+ good quality mags, and a few thousand rounds of 5.56. I'd also like to pick up some stripped receivers, and maybe get a couple braced pistols.

If it turns out that I can get to the range more often, I want another .22. I get tired of loading 10/22 magazines. I think I'd want something single shot or tube-mag, and with excellent sights. I'll find a load it likes, and buy a ridiculous quantity of it. It would be better to buy .22 ammo sooner than later, as I am concerned things might get silly once again in 2020.
You're not the ONLY one, there's at least 2 of us.

You guys are just unAmerican. Good thing GunnyUSMC has enough to go around. LOL.
I want 1 just because folks say I shouldn't, honestly I do, I have a .223, closest I've come was almost getting an ar-12, but I just can't get across that bridge, once I do I know it'll collect dust as a jic, but it's the bolts, pumps, and levers that trip my trigger so to speak.

Finally suck it up and purchase that suppressor (or 2)

Fire 500 rds through my bolt 308. I have done that the last two years, hoping for a 3rd but life is gonna get more complicated making that goal more difficult, I probably won’t be reloading for one

My goal is to add a carbine to my collection in a pistol caliber (9mm or .357/.) or a M1 carbine. Bonus points if it is a basket case that I can revive and make my own.

Probably also try to sell a couple of rifles I never warmed up to.

I'd like to reload more and shoot more this year. I've been pretty busy with work this year that I didn't get much time to load during the weeknights and I spent most weekends with my partner instead of loading/shooting.

If I had to choose an extended goal, it would be to buy an M1 Garand but I need to sell at least one larger rifle to make room for it :(

My goal is like many others here, more trigger time. I get frustrated, after working up loads for my favorite rifles, not shooting consistently enough to assess them. Not enough practice, shame on me.

22-250 with 1:7 barrel twist
Winchester M70 Sporter .270 and then rebarrel my .270 ADL to 6.5 SAUM or 6.5 WSM
6mm-.284 in a long action

I mentioned this in the reloading thread, but I've got a lot of rifles that either haven't been shot, or have only been shot slightly. I want to get them loaded for, shot, and setup.
.264WM M70 Featherweight
.444 Marlin
.325 WSM MRC
6.5CM Win 1885

I've got more loading work to do on my .50-110 and .45-90. I'm hoping to the both soft and solid 530+gr loads up to 2000 ft/s+ in the .50-110 with temp stable powders.

I'm going to be running 5 or 6 rifle classes this year, so that's going to be very busy.

I had to bail on elk hunting this year due to a combination of injury and the rest of the group bailing. I'm not doing that this year - even if I end plunking some elk that's hiding on private land, I'm hunting this year.

2019 may be the last of the "salad years" to buy and put aside rifles that may be banned. It might be wise to divert your disposable funds in that direction. (I pretty much covered my bases last year, so I don't have any further immediate plans.)

I'm looking to find the perfect 'cheap' 22lr ammo for 50 yard for my cz varmint. Maybe even win a friendly match or two.

I keep thinking I need to add a heavy barrel 6.5c for plinking but I may wind up with a 308 in stead.
