2020 Red Ryder Christmas Wish edition, Walmart

Well the FedEx man delivered this morning.

Out of the box, it looks good. Stock is a bit too orange and the compass is lost. The lever is metal, but the trigger is plastic. The sundial pin is plastic....

Comparing it against the 1988 50 year commemorative Red Ryder, I got as a kid. It's a dang good shooter. The BB holder isn't dropping the BBs when angled down like my childhood one does now. Shooting at 10 yards with Copperhead BBs, it hit the can 30 out of 30 without moving the sights.

So for the $25, I paid it's been a good buy.

Well unfortunately they are made in China rather than Roger's Arkansas now. Still enjoyable to shoot even if you have fancy airguns. Every kid had a Crossman or Daisy I grew up with. Today they are illegal to shoot in most cities and towns including mine. Sad.
