22/45 Holsters

I have a MK II generation 22/45 with four inch bull barrel. It fits into all of my 1911 holsters just fine.

I have that holster, I got mine from Midway, they had it cheapest when I was shopping around.

It is a perfectly good range holster, but it is about as suitable for concealment as a .22 pistol. It locks onto the receiver and frame in a way that should fit any Ruger mk___ in either frame style, and will even allow some optics with the top slot. Retention is pretty good, trigger is well protected, longer barrel muzzles will protrude a bit.

Yeh, mine is for range/competition use. It's also ambidextrous if that's important to you (you can swap the belt loops to the other side if you like).

Just the tactical/steel/USPSA type. They usually do one .22 match a year. Plus you can shoot .22 whenever you want in the regular matches... you just don't get an official score.

I use a 22/45 in steel challenge, and yes, you can just start from low ready, but I would simply prefer to run from the holster anyway. But I don't have a holster for it yet.

I want a holster mainly for two reasons.

1. I want to practice Draw and Fire Drills using my 22/45. (I know it's better to practice with your competition or carry gun BUT ammo doesn't seem to be getting any cheaper.)

2. Is the most common reason for the majority of things we purchase, I just want one.
