Just got ahold of a NEF Handi-Rifle in 22 Hornet. It has a Bushnell Sportview 3/9 scope with weaver mounts. did some trading for truck parts. So far have only shot 25-30 rounds of Remington 45 GR PSPs. I am Impressed so far and am looking to get out with it more soon, I will be using it for turkey and varmints and seldom shot over 200yards in my neck of the woods. Any one else have this setup and your thoughts on it ?

I have a 22H in a Ruger 1B and a 22K-Hornet in a Ruger 77/22 VT Rifle and shoot and reload for both. Both are extremly accurate to 150 yards and very quiet. I find myself using the Hornets more than my 22-250 heavy barreled varmint gun. Good luck with yours and enjoy.

I have an old H&R Model 158 Topper with .22 Hornet and 20 gauge barrels. The Hornet barrel has a 4x Weaver K4 on it. So far the only load I've tried has been Winchester 45 grain JSP. I got around 2 MOA, but the gun has a very heavy trigger.

I'd like to see what it would do after trigger job, because .22 Hornet is really fun to shoot.

I've a got a 20" barreled topper 158 also, with a 3x9 bushnell, with its favorite load it'll do 1 1/4" 5 shot groups, the fcg has been polished and stoned to 4lbs, still kinda heavy for a varmint rifle, but it pulls smooth and breaks clean.

Sounds like a nice setup, I love minimalist equipment. It being .22 hornet is the icing on the cake. Enjoy buddy, that gun should last forever.

I truly love the good ole' .22 Hornet and I have two shooters in my rack.
A local dealer has a new in box Ruger#1 Hornet that is just dying to come home with me. Giving it some thought.
