i have a rifle and a pistol and i like the pistol because you can carry it around easy but rifles tend to hold more ammo

I have 4 .22lr rifles and 2 .22lr pistols. I wouldn't want to be stuck without one of either. If I had to pick I would start with the rifle and move to the pistol but this is the rifle forum. I have always been more of a rifle guy than a pistol guy. All that said the .22lr pistols, both auto loaders and wheel guns, are a ton of fun and still just as dirt cheap to play with all day long.

For what? for me a rifle but IF things ever go PHTF then I change my mind to a pistol.

pistols should come later, especially for young shooters.

taught my son on a ruger 1022 and he shot it for years.

ive watched that boy grow up with that rifle, and this past christmas he got his first pistol, a browning buckmark 22.

and if your only going to have one gun, it should be a rifle.

Let's see, as a minimum, a 22 wheelgun, then a rifle, then a 22 pistol, then a bolt, lever and pump and then a custom. Yeah, that should be close to enough
