I have a belt pouch for 44 special from desantis, the 3x3.

I see simplyrugged makes a "most versatile pouch" for either loose or speed stripped ammo.

Well, does anyone know of similar for 22 rimfire? It must be leather. I'd be fine with just a pouch that a quantity dumps into, or a pouch that has individual holes.

I've considered getting the "most versatile pouch" and making an insert for it out of wood, to hold 22s. I'd like to know of other options though.

This is for carry for hunting with a single six.

I have one for 22s also. I use speed strips for them too. I think it holds five or six 10rd strips.

Another option is a belt case for a folding knife.

The speed strips just keep things tidy. You can carry 30 or 40rds in your watch pocket.

I hadn't considered speed strips for 22. I'll have to give it some thought.

From time to time I still use the old 175 count Crossman pellet containers with the belt clips. I don’t think they have made them in a couple of decades but they are about the right size for ~50 rounds of .22.

This one is probably decent but certainly a bit larger.

There are lots of soft pellet pouches that would also work for .22’s.

I've long thought there was a hole in the market for pouches to carry loose .22's in. About 15yrs ago, I started using a civil war era type cap pouch like this one. It works pretty good but the double flap is a double edged sword.

Last year I made this one at the request of a long time customer. It's about 3.5" wide. It's more accessible.

I'm not real big on TripleK but they actually have a good one.

I had an unidentified .22 LR magazine,,,
I made a holder for it for when I used to do my "bunny walks" on a friends property.

I just made it to hold the magazine upside down,,,
Take a shot with my single-shot rifle,,,
Peel off a new round from the mag.

A friend admired it so I gifted it to him.

The hard Wilkins pouches are pretty cool. I bought one for pellets but also use it for .22LR.

Thanks for the suggestions and ideas.

I don't think I want as large a pouch as what Craig shows.

I might get in the notion an make one.

I like a lot of the suggestions. I think they would be too bulky for me though.

Right now, I carry the 3x3 pouch at the 1:00 position. It's small enough it doesn't get in my way. I mean I can tuck it under my gut. A similar pouch for 22, would be exactly right.
