Working up the 222 at 100

From prior, I saw 23.5g of h322 was best, working up In 0.5g increments.

I then narrowed from 0.5 to 0.1 grains 23.3-23.7

All done on Dillon 550 progressive

First the toy

Starting bottom left and going ccw it was 23.7 then .6 at 7oclock then .5 at 9, .4 at 3 and center was 23.3

I did not have a micrometer with me but it appears that the groups steadily got bigger moving down from 23.7 /23.6
I will have to measure but they appear pretty equal. I also may have to go up 0.1 until groups open up again(seen at around 24.0 last time)

23.6
I added a spent 22 Long rifle cartridge for some reference, of course this is slightly an optical illusion making the group size appear slightly smaller but nevertheless still pretty good groups for 100 yards/5 shot groups

Now
To do it all again and see if I get similar results along w reverse order for barrel temperature

Nice rifle, and very nice groups. H322 was recommended to me when I first got into reloading but I've not been able to find any. Seems as though you've had good luck with it though. What bullet are you using? I just got some 50 gr V-max to try, and hope they will group decently. Will find out this weekend, I guess. For powder I use IMR 4320 because that's what is available. Seems to be a decent enough powder, but doesn't give barn-burner loads by any means.

Will check on projectile but I think 40g Sierra blitzking
My 40x 22-250 loves same round

Here is my wallet group 5/100y for 22-250

222 isn’t far off!

If u were closer I would figure a trade for a pound for u to try. The 22-250 loves the h380 (right where it should at 38g)

Appreciate it, wish I was closer. Rifle powder is pretty much non existent around here. Maybe that'll change soon. Ive been using a 55 gr SP in mine, it'll shoot about 3/4" at 100. My hope is the 50's will do better. I've not tried any 40's yet, but that's on my list.
