.223 Primers

What is the deal with the Wolf .223 Primers? Are these the same as small rifle primers, only slightly harder so that they won't prematurely misfire while cycling in an AR? Can they be used in place of SR primers? Thanks.

Yes, slightly harder cups. No big deal either way if you seat your primers fully. Just a nice hedge.

 

[Historian]

Wolf primers are slighly oversized so be sure to seat them all the way. Just use a little extra pressure on the seating tool.
