I am interested as well

i have been wondering about this as well.
I wonder if it feeds?
I wonder if it separates from the sabot?
i wonder if it flies true or tumbles?
And finally, i wonder about the chronographed speeds!

I saw at a show a fellow who loaded up some 223's in sabots in both 30-06 and 7.62x54R and claimed 4000 fps with a very flat trajectory.

Haven' any personal experience yet.

I would indeed like to see some real data on the CZ-52 loads! I always thought useing a Barnes Solid would make a good penetrating target thumper!

One guy who will load these is pete cordona at Quality Cartridge in MD, but i haven't asked him about any feedback he may have gotten.
If you find anything out, please let us know!

Yes, I have done this.

Yes

Unfortunately I don't remember what velocities I got now, I did this a few years ago. I found the experience of reloading for the 7.62x25 to be a frustrating experience. I had a lot of feeding problems and gave up on it. I am going to get back to it in the very near future.
When I first got into this, I met a guy on TFL that was very experienced with this caliber. He told me how to go about it. I printed it out and would have to look at it again to recall any of it. He told me where to get the sabots and the loads.

that would be very helpful, or at least informative, if you found that info!
You said 'yes' to my string of questions; but then said you had alot of feeding problems.
How did you, if at all, overcome these problems and get the timbs to feed?

My only experience with any but fmj was with 50rds of hornady 90gr JHP and it stovepiped every round- very frustrating. Ended up giving 43 rounds of it away.

So I have a skeptical view of a CZ-52's ability to feed the timbs/ Although, to be fair, the jhp was too short in OAL. I understand the reloader fixed the length and now has no problems.

But I've stayed with S&B or surplus fmj ever since. Until I sold the pistol, that is.

If this 223 Timbs works out, I will definitely be picking up a replacement CZ52!

I had feeding problems with all my 7.62x25 handloads, it wasn't confined to the saboted loads. I only played with it for a short time and moved on to something else always meaning to come back to it.
I guess now is the time.

I found the information on reloading this cartridge. I will put the E-Mails all together into one document. If you want a copy, send me an E-Mail.

I had a little problem with feeding then found that I was slightly belling the neck when putting the bullet in after I adjusted the crimp it has worked very well since.
I have found that the accurcy is better if you use .311 bullets instead of .308, the .308 is not bad but the .311 is superb.
I think I will get some sabots and try that.
I had some Remington 110g RNSP that I had bought for a M1 carbine sold the carbine so I have been using them with good results in the CZ52. They are .308.
