Picked up a box ox of Remington Yellow Jackets and a box of Federal Spitfires. Anyone have any experiences with or know of any other brands?

Aguila makes (or at least used to make) one called "Super Maximum Hyper Velocity."

With a name like that, it has to be fast.

...Geez, the CCI Stinger sorta defines Hyper-Velocity .22s, seeing as how they were the first, and as far as I know, they're still the hottest...

Velocitors are supposed to be good as well, and fit some guns which wont/shouldn't fire stingers

I have a 10-22, and it likes the Velocitors much better than the Stingers. Same goes for my 22-45 and my S&W Mod 17. They will all handle the Stingers without a problem, but shoot the Velocitors like they have eyes.

its mainly the high end target guns and aftermarket 10/22 barrels that have the tighter chambers that you can't use Stingers in. But like everything, you have to try out different ammo in your gun to see what it shoots well with

"...can a Ruger 10/22 fire stingers safely..." Yep. However, the rifle may not shoot them well. You have to try a box of each brand to see which one shoots best in your rifle. Same as you do any other .22 ammo.
