I believe Hawes imported two different models of .22LR/.22Mag SAA style revolvers. Both were made by J.P. Sauer of Germany; some of them being full size SAA replicas while others were scaled down copies known as the Deputy Marshall series. The guns were constructed mainly out of some alloy material (possibly Zamak?), with steel sleeved inserts in the cylinders and barrels. There were a variety of finishes offered with accompanying names to match: Western Marshal, Silver City Marshal, Texas Marshal, Montana Marshal, and Federal Marshal to name a few.

I have a Western Marshall in .44 mag. The grip frame and trigger guard may possibly be an alloy. The barrel is not lined. It shoots very accurately and is a fine gun.
