For folks in the southeast, especially, the 27th annual Gun Rights Policy Conference is slated the last weekend in September (9/28-30) at the Regency Hyatt Orlando International Hotel
Pre-registration is now open at www.ccrkba.org or www.saf.org and this thing annually attracts hundreds of people. Best part, it's free, and there are giveaways, especially books dealing with gun rights.
It's sponsored by the Second Amendment Foundation and Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. Don't have a full slate of speakers yet, but I'm on it, as is Alan Gottlieb, and Mark O'Mara, the attorney representing George Zimmerman.
Not attending: Eric Holder and Michael Bloomberg. No kidding, both were invited but as my tongue-in-cheek examiner column notes, both turned down the invites. Hey, c'mon now, don't cry. It'll be alright....
