I was able to get out to the range this morning again for the 2nd time with my Smith Carbine.

I shot 20 times from 50 yards and 20 times from 100 yards. Most of the shots were seated.

The heavy trigger pull is making it hard to shoot consistent groups but I did much better at 50 yards this trip (see picture below).

Again, I need to adjust the trigger pull -- if I don't keep continuous pressure on the trigger, the hammer only goes to half cock.

For all shots I used 28 grains of FFG Goex in a plastic shell with a .512 lubed smith bullet.

A ton of fun to shoot!!

I think that looks pretty good!
Trigger springs can be bought, maybe Dixie, MVA or somebody else has them.
I made mine pull is smooth and light maybe three pounds and the half cock works fine.
They have them here http://www.lodgewood.com/smith.htm

Is the right part the "SM-WRS Searspring, wire replacement, adjustable, reduces trigger pull on any Smith $9.00 "??

How difficult is it to replace?
