Good evening, my name is Ken, and I have a weakness.

I admit I am powerless to control my weakness.

I have an addiction to three inch revolvers.

Ah, that feels good to admit to it.

    Clockwise:
    • Smith Model 36-1
    • Colt Detective Special
    • Smith Model 10-7
    • Ruger GP-100

In the words of Tommy Gavin (Rescue Me, great show) "I need to get to a meeting." Anyone know of a 12 step program for my addiction?

I know of a program where you could let me safeguard them for you, against your own sickness you know, all your three inchers are belong to me.

Nice collection of them, those are some great looking, clearly well-used revolvers. You've got more 3" Colts kicking around too don't you?

I think the 3" small or medium frame revolvers look to be about perfectly balanced.

Sure gives a nice balanced look to a mid-frame wheelgun.

    I feel your pain. I picked up another 3" 36-1 last week .... my third one. It joins a 3" 629 and a 3" Model 60 in the safe. I'm still looking for a 3" Colt .38.

No. I have a 2" 3rd generation D.S. and the same era Cobra. But I only have this 3" Colt.

By all means, brother Walkalong, include your pictures.

I looked for one for about 4 years until I found one for a reasonable price. Good luck in your search.

I found mine in Puerto Rico for $210.00.

Ahhh I misremembered a different thread about 2" six shot revolvers, never mind. Yes, a 3" 686 would fit right in wouldn't it?

I'm not a pervert. I just have an addiction.

I'm not terribly interested in a 686. It's a little big for carry, and I like fixed sights on a carry gun.

    ^^^^^^^
Notice none of them have adjustables.

My apologies there Sir, I did not mean to infer an unhealthy fixation.

I see what you mean on the sights.

    Are there any 3" 681s?

How does the L frame compare to the GP-100 size wise, roughly the same aren't they?

Pretty much, yes. They use the same size speedloaders.

For enough money you can get any size barrel on 681 you want, I reckon.

Guess I've been bitten by the same bug:

    3" SP101
    3" GP100
    3" S&W 629-1

I really need to take some pics ...

This is my only 3" thus far, but I'd love to add another in the future.

    Very nice.

In much better shape than mine, too.

I'm sort of partial to square butt Smiths. And I really don't feel the need to shoot .357s out of a K frame. So I think I can let the temptation pass to go hunt one like your's down and make it mine.

I still have an intense desire for a three inch .44 Special, though.

I have TWO M686Ps with 3-inch barrels....and an older Security Six with a 2.75 inch barrel....

Very well balanced in my hand....others may not think so.

I'll speak in support of my friend, DA.
He meant no offense, just playing along in fun.

    Hello, my name is Nem.

I admit to my appreciation sans addiction for a 3".

    Considering replacing my mod 65 with a 3" 60,
then add a set of Hogue monogrips.
    24 oz 60 v 35 oz 65.

But then, I only feel a need for 5 rnds.
