has anyone used reeds ammo 30 carbine loads? i've been looking for ammo for my m1 so my nephew could use it hunting and they are by far the least expensive for soft and hollow point ammo.

Never heard of reeds ammo. Sorry. I do know Remington at one time made Soft Points. They were all right. Never set down and put them to paper. Winchester has a Hollow Soft Point or something like that. Never tried them.

Count yourself lucky if you can find .30 carbine ammo locally. I found 2 boxes of Magtech 110gr FMJ around here, untill Sportsamn's Warehouse opened. They have American Eagle 110gr FMJ there and an empty spot for the Winchester HSP.

I use Win HSP 110 gr for any kind of hunting, I haven't tried to buy any lately, I have a bit of a stockpile. I bought it at Sportsman's Warehouse here in Ogden a few years ago, I haven't monitored availability.

I have never understood the cost or rarity of .30 carbine ammo.

ammo online

about the only ammo for it i have found, is online. then it is scarse to say the least. i found 2 boxes of winchester 110gr hsp localy for $28.00 a box. reeds web site last i looked was $17 & $19 a box. but i dont know about shipping.
