I don't know if its still on the backorder list at Starline or not , but I ordered some Grendel and 10 MM about three weeks ago Monday , and got it exactly one week from then , on the following Monday . I've had to wait on a couple things for a while ,but generally it comes pretty quick .My understanding is backorder means either in production or on queue . Just not setting in stock .

it is a disgrace that the loaded ammo is over a dollar each and the brass is almost a dollar each

Such is the life of a lesser used rifle caliber. You want cheap ammo? Stick with 5.56, 7.62x39, 22LR, 308 WIN.

A deal on ammo other than the previously mentioned in the current US status is sub $1/round.

banning chinese and russian ammo to destroy competition did not help either

I will stand by my claim that Grendel brass isn't hard to find.

Based on my experience I'd amend that to "Grendel brass can be found if you are patient". I'm loading for a bolt gun so I wanted something good, like Lapua or Starline. At the time I started looking Midway had Nosler Premium brass for something like $1.85 each and I said no way. Nothing else was available for some time until I saw a post on the 6.5 Grendel forum that Shooters Proshop had Nosler brass for $39/50. I got all excited and bought 100 which came out to $0.90 something with the shipping. Next day there was another post about a vendor that had Starline for $59/100. I'm thinking that SPS putting "factory seconds" on the market that day wasn't a coincidence.

The Nosler brass is really nice BTW. My first experience with it.

That wasn't done to destroy competition. It was a blanket ban on the importation of certain goods from those countries. Sorry but the gov't didn't do that for the domestic ammo industry.

sorry you believe anything the govt spoon feeds you. seems like a certain pipeline was ruined to eliminate competition also chips are banned from China

So let me get this straight, you think the american ammo manufacturers are giving money to the biden administration to ban civilian ammo imports from Russia? Yes I'm sure they are lining up to give money to Democrats. Now if it were military contracts I could believe it. The Democrats and republicans both eat from that trough.

yes I do believe it. canada was dumping lumber here and studs were $1.99 at home cheapo.US lumber companies went crying to Trump and he put tariffs on canadian wood and the price exploded. in the 80's Harley went crying to reagan and they put a giant tariff on any Japanese bike over 750. I had to buy a Kawaski a few months ahead of when I wanted it to beat the tariff.

That's your response? You think the Biden administration gives a rat's ass about domestic ammo manufacturers??? It wasn't done 'for' them but 'against' us.
limiting access to ammo I say is their policy. yea they dont care about domestic ammo makers but buy tens of millions of rounds from them. do you think steve hornandy is on your side?
