Hey everyone, I did try a search but didnt have much luck.
I am hoping someone can point me in the right direction here. I have a t3 in 300 wsm, I am seeing that the reciol is flattening out the lead points of the bullets in the magazine, is there something I can do to stop it or just have to live with it?
thanks

Welcome to the forum.

I have the same gun and handload my ammo. I took a small half-round file and notched the front of the magazine to get just a bit more length. The bullet loaded in the bottom of the magazine will still take a hit to the nose, but out to 300 yds, accuracy isn't effected enough to notice.

Flat tip pointed soft points like the deep curl/Fusion bullet would avoid deforming. Pointed poly tip billets like the Accu-bond would also work too.

Use bullets that utilize a 'polymer' tip, like the Hornady SST, or the Nosler Ballistic YTip bullets.

Other than that, there is nothing you can do to stop the flattening of the bullet tip used in the cartridges that are carried in the box magazine of a rifle.
