3k

One of three: a quality 12 ga. O/U, a SIG P210, or a used double rifle chambered for a cartridge that I would use, like .30-06.

I'd get a good reloader and jump into IPSC full tilt. You're 3k will vanish in no time.

With a mucked up motorcycle shoulder high recoil just isn't any fun any more. I would be looking at an quality semi auto shotgun.

....or a smaller caliber long range plinker

....or a custom 1911

sorry

.

I'd like to change my vote and agree with JT - you could absolutely look at Cooper rifles! It'd be pretty tough to go wrong with a Montana-made brilliant piece of work like theirs.

There are some nice double rifles that can be had in that range. Not something that every Tom, Dick and Harry has at the range and great fun to shoot.

A decent S&W Registered Magnum. Rare, beautiful and a lot of drool factor.

A First generation Colt SAA. See above.

Take a mundane gun and make it yours. Ivory stocks and engraving. Fire up the BBQ!

I'd rather buy a less expensive gun and spend the rest on enough ammo to learn to shoot it really well. But then you can tell I am not into expensive safe queens.

On the other hand a Custom Colt-engraved Colt SAA and some very nice leather to carry/show it off at the BBQ would be very, very nce. (drool, drool)

What fun -- you're going to get as many possibilities as replies.

For handgun bliss: Wilson Combat CQB.

Interested in clay games? Best Beretta I could get for the money.

Jaxondog. RE: Shiloh-Sharps. I ordered a custom rifle right after "Quigley Down Under" came out, and it took 34 months to get it. I think the wait is now 48-60 months, and the price has gone up a bit.
