If you have loaded that caliber, with that bullet and powder for a semiautomatic, what is your favorite OAL, charge weight and seating depth?

Ok, I have one to share that looks like it has potential.

It’s 18.5 gn H110 with the Nosler 125 @ 2.150”.

Got a budget thermal to try, the image is a bit better that this.



Just can’t capture it with my phone. To give an idea the blurred time/battery/etc data at the bottom is clear to the eye ball. A long way away from the Oasis I had been using but a lot cheaper.

Shot one to zero then put 3 more in to feel comfortable before setting out the chronograph and clocked the last one at 1915fps at 50 yds (8.5” barrel). Should still be above their suggested minimum speed at impact distances tonight.



Not too shabby for just quartering a square.

Not shabby at all.......looks like MORE than a good starting place.... M4 or clone, right? AK's 7.62x39 round that accurate........in a good rifle, that is?

What use do you have in mind for that? Anything besides S. D.?

Yes, an 8.5” barrel with a longer tube the suppressor fits inside. Makes the package about the same as a 16” carbine, just not as loud.

i run little-gun with the 125 gr nosler bt out of a remington aac model 7 with 16" barrel for 2300+fps with no pressure in the bolt action. my load maybe to heavy for a semi-auto rifle.

125 Gr SST instead of the Nosler, 2.105 OAL, and I don't have any H-110, so
18.6 Grs Enforcer (Needs to be wroked up to), Avg 2210 ish 16" barrel. Best I can do.

very close to mine. same bullet, same length, but 18.0 grains H110. 2150 fps. absolutly deadly per my gel test, and very accurate out of my 10.5" barrel. 1.5" groups at 100 yds using a Vortex Sparc 4 moa red dot. work up first
