300blk ammo?

I have dies, and an upper on the way.

I'd be interested in finding any loaded ammo, or brass. I bet I have some 30 cal bullets that could work, but I haven't really spent any time looking at load data either.

Freedom Munitions has some every once in a while. I just got 500 rounds last week and I saw they had some again since then. When I was out, I was checking several sites daily and Freedom Munitions had it most often.

Finding Factory load 300BLK ammo is like seeing Elvis and Bigfoot riding piggyback on the Loch Ness Monster......

Ok.... Maybe not THAT bad....

$1.30 and $1.60 a round is not reasonable for 147 Gr blasting ammo in .300 BLK.

Unless you reload...... Thats average for 300 blk bullets....

The constant posts on EVERY gun forum in the USA (mostly arguements) by the 300 blk guru promising cheap ammo has largely not happened.

Only because of the shortages. This was $12 a box before the craziness started, and at $16 it is still well under $1300 or $1600 for 1K.

Things will settle down, and until then folks may pay a premium just to get it now, but that doesn't make it a great deal.

Things will get better. The .300 BLK has been hurt a lot by the craziness because it was just picking up steam when it started.

I purchased (2) 50 rd boxes of Freedom Munitions 150 gr FMJ for $45 per box from Southern Arms in Labelle, TX. Not sure if they have a website or if it would even be beneficial for you to buy from them with shipping. This price maybe high, but they have it in stock.

Agreed.

300BLK ammo has been put on the back burner it seems, as the demand for production of 223/5.56 has taken priority. Considering the already low supply of 300BLK ammo before SH, the panic has really dried up the supply without being replenished. Hopefully towards the end of this year ammo will come back in stock.

Can .300 whisper brass be run in a 300blk chamber? Are there any differences in the external dimensions of the two cartridges? Sorry I don't have a load book that covers this stuff. From what I can see now, only the chamber/throat dimensions might be a hair different, ala .223/5.56.

Right2BEAR AMMO.COM

I keep posting that I have received well over 1000 rounds in the 110 & 150 grain full load from the abpove company
The stuff is marked "made in Texas" and is clean and shoots VERY well in my upper.
