300gr Speer GDHP in a 500mag

I have some 300gr speer GDHP bullets that I use in the 50ae, has anyone used these bullets in the 500 S&W mag?

Have looked in my reloading manuals, and done some searching but have not found anything yet.

Would it be OK to use reloading data for the next size up bullet? Or is there something that will prevent these from working?
