It's south african manufacture; 7.7x56 is one international designation of the 303 Brit or Japanese type 92 7.7 (same cartridge).

Good stuff, late manufacture, PROBABLY not corrosive but I'd still clean it as such.

Greetings
Whenever in dought.. shoot and clean. Then recheck in 12 hours,24 hours, 36 hours. If there is nothing red and nasty looking starting to progress you are going to be OK.
Or after firing swab it out with water and Dawn (10%) then dry and oil. Check 24 hours later. This is my SOP.

Yes, definately South African, non-corrosive berdan primed. I bought close to a thousand rounds a few years ago & still have a few hundred left. I've been reloading the empties with RWS 5.5mm diameter berdan primers & have been getting good case life with neck-sizing in my No.4 LE.

Yeah Berdan primers are about the only ones you can find nowadays too.

Graf & sons has some 7.62x39 berdan primers in stock, 115/5000.

Don't see the size in stock you'd need for these, though.
