.308 based big bore?

I brought this up many moons ago on TFL but what the heck why not give it another try? ;) Okay,with all the .308 scout rifles and handy carbines floating around these days wouldn`t it be cool if there was a simple wildcat that would make a relatively cheap bigbore brush gun out of them? You can make .45 Win mag. or .44 AMP out of .308 cases,why not a full length or near full length bigbore for carbines? Even a .406/.308 or something like that so it could retain a bottleneck? What do you guys think,wouldn`t a big bore Enfield Jungle Carbine with 10/12rd. mags be cool?! :cool: Marcus
 
There are .338 and .375 wildcats on .308 brass.
The .400 Whelen was not successful, partly because it did not have enough shoulder to hold headspace.
