32 cal Chrongraph Test

    Went to the range yesterday,one of the guys had a chronograph, shot a 3
    shot avg with some of my pistols. Powder Goex FFF, Ball 0"Buckshot" Patch
    .010 lube water soubable oil. Caplock Ed Rayle barrel 1-16 twist 8" 15 grs.
    940 fps 17 grs. 1050 fps. 10" Caplock DeHass barrel 1-14 twist 15 grs.
    1050 fps 17 grs 1170 fps. Green Mt. 8 1/2 Flintlock 1-16 twist 17 grs. 1050fps Next time I want to try 30 grs in the DeHass barrel. Bet it will top 1400
    fps.

    Chronographs are cheap! Mine's getting on 25 years now and still works fine. No cartridge reloader should be without one, though I can see why BP only shooters might not think them essential. :D
