I just ordered a 3 inch bulldog holster. I’m assuming the dimensions will be the same.

Charter is offering an OWB Galco holster.
They are now offering M&L Holsters on Charter’s website. They have one OWB for the Professional that is the same price as a Galco, but MUCH better quality than Galco (I have both).

They also have IWBs for the Bulldog. The owner of M&L will call you before he makes them and you can customize it over the phone. I told him I had a Boomer, like a Bulldog with no front sight. He custom made the holster so that there’s no room for a sight. And it’s higher quality than anything I’ve seen in a store.

Not bad for $47!

Both Ruger and Charter Arms have excellent customer service, I have used them both. Ruger has always fixed the problem to my satisfaction but Charter Arms did not. That is why I took matters in my own hands and milled the top barrel rib on my CA Professional 32H&R. I would guess that I took about .060" or 1/16" off and re-installed the front sight. I can hit steel targets OK with it but it still shoots about 2 inches low to point of aim.

is there any reason you didn’t take it down farther until it lined up with the frame?

I just got several Professionals and the shroud still sticks up way proud of the frame (I.e., they haven’t fixed the problem).

The good thing is, I’m a novice and I wasn’t sure whether the front sight was supposed to be down in the groove, or above the groove forming a sort of triangle. After shooting my Professionals, I thought, “I guess the front sight is supposed to be above the rear groove.”

So basically, I didn’t know any better, and they seem to shoot fine.

Probably not. Which surprises me. Iwant one but won't buy it until it is fixed. I refuse to put money into a brand new gun. And from what I read in this thread, the factory fixes are sub par.

Hello Kevin:

Here is the fix for the CA Professional 32. Machined out of aluminum and nicely finished.
This sight fits snug in the slot at the rear of the gun body. A dab of 2-part epoxy or JB Weld will secure it. Brings POI right where it should be. Cost is $20. and $2. shipping.

The rear sight will work on any of the Charter Arms (low shooting) Revolvers. Bulldog, Pathfinder, Undercover, etc. The sight is available in flat black or silver. We also make a short or long version. You will be pleased with the improved targeting.

Nice job seeing an issue and putting together a solid fix!

My .32 H&R is a Bisley Single Six, so I haven’t experienced the issues the Charters seem to have.

I will say a .44 Bulldog 3” is on my “gotta get” list... someday ;).

Stay safe.

i would send that in an email to Charter. If they are not going to machine the problem, then they could do this for a few more dollars.
