They are now offering M&L Holsters on Charter’s website. They have one OWB for the Professional that is the same price as a Galco, but MUCH better quality than Galco (I have both).

They also have IWBs for the Bulldog. The owner of M&L will call you before he makes them and you can customize it over the phone. I told him I had a Boomer, like a Bulldog with no front sight. He custom made the holster so that there’s no room for a sight. And it’s higher quality than anything I’ve seen in a store.

    Not bad for $47!

is there any reason you didn’t take it down farther until it lined up with the frame?

I just got several Professionals and the shroud still sticks up way proud of the frame (I.e., they haven’t fixed the problem).

The good thing is, I’m a novice and I wasn’t sure whether the front sight was supposed to be down in the groove, or above the groove forming a sort of triangle. After shooting my Professionals, I thought, “I guess the front sight is supposed to be above the rear groove.”

So basically, I didn’t know any better, and they seem to shoot fine.

Probably not. Which surprises me. Iwant one but won't buy it until it is fixed. I refuse to put money into a brand new gun. And from what I read in this thread, the factory fixes are sub par.

    Hello Kevin:

Here is the fix for the CA Professional 32. Machined out of aluminum and nicely finished.
This sight fits snug in the slot at the rear of the gun body. A dab of 2-part epoxy or JB Weld will secure it. Brings POI right where it should be. Cost is $20. and $2. shipping.

I see how it fits and works, but would not want the deep V shaped trench above the square notch.

Thanks guys. Good to know. I'll need to get my hands on 32 Mag ammo or at least some 32 Mag shells and bullets.

Does this work specifically for the Charter arms professional chambered in 32 Magnum?

The rear sight will work on any of the Charter Arms (low shooting) Revolvers. Bulldog, Pathfinder, Undercover, etc. The sight is available in flat black or silver. We also make a short or long version. You will be pleased with the improved targeting.

Nice job seeing an issue and putting together a solid fix!

My .32 H&R is a Bisley Single Six, so I haven’t experienced the issues the Charters seem to have.

I will say a .44 Bulldog 3” is on my “gotta get” list... someday ;).

    Stay safe.

i would send that in an email to Charter. If they are not going to machine the problem, then they could do this for a few more dollars.

Machining would be cheaper if they would just do it...
