why dont they have them? the round has more energy than a 38 special +p and less kick than a .357 magnum. plus, i would think you could turn it into a 6 shot instead of the standard 5. what am i missing?

A 9mm airweight might have real problems with bullet walk.

I don't think the .327 Federal became the rousing sales success they thought it would.
S&W only makes one model in the Pro Series now.

Had it have became more popular, I'm sure there would be more then just that one model now.

Do you understand how high pressure this cartridge is? That is why they haven't made them in airweights. They would only last a few rounds before they would wear out.

S&W has had great success with there scandium framed guns. The 340 series is a great gun to carry and will shoot .357's. I think it is the caliber that is holding them back from more production options. It has not taken off as well as first thought.

Post #5 has a lot to do with it too.

    .357 Mag is 35,000 PSI.

    .327 Fed is 45,000 PSI!!

smith and wesson is still making two models in .327. one 3" ported and one 2 1/8 not ported. 632 and 632-2 . that is all they have ever made.
