Any .338 Lapua owners out there? I'm looking into purchasing a rifle chambered for this cartridge. Specifically does anyone have experience with either the Sako TRG-42 or the Blazer LRS2 rifles as these are the rifles I was eyeballing.

Any info on reloading for this cartridge would also be appreciated.

TIA

I have a Sako TRG-42. I did have to modify the locking arm on the quick detach scope mount to accomodate today's modern side focus scopes. I also had the the entire rifle teflon coated in matte black. Sako has their special bipod for it which if you are go,,,you may as well go all the way. So besides, the original rifle, I bought the Sako Bipod, QD Scope Mount and 3 Extra Mags.

With the large muzzle brake, it feels like a 308 Winchester. As far as accuracy, the rifle does favor the 250 grain Lapua Scenar.

I dont have any complaints about it. If you want a real military issue factory made precision rifle, the SAKO TRG-42 is a good option at a reasonable price compared to one of the AI models.

Feel free to email me.
