350 Legend scope

I have the Savage 110 in 350 Legend that came with a Vortex Crossfire 2, that I’m not really happy with. I’d like to put a little nicer scope on it, looking at the Leupold VX-Freedom and the Burris Fullfield specifically made for the 350. Burris is about $100 cheaper, is the Leupold worth the extra? The current crossfire isn’t very good in low light when the deer are most likely to appear.

I'm a long time Leopold fan! Sent only one back to Leopold because the power ring turned hard. They had the scope back to my very quickly. Great customer service!!!!

What power range are you looking at?
I like a 2-7×33 for a cartridge like the 350Legend. 7x is more than enough for the cartridge range. 2x has a good field of veiw in the woods.

Somewhere around 2-7 or 3-9 for the power, I’ve never heard too much bad about Leupold but I also hate to spend more than I need to for a rifle that would see 250 yards at the most. But then again it’s nice having a clear view regardless of range.

I have a VX Freedom on my 350. I am very pleased with it. Hard to beat Leupold.

Between those two id go Leupold, matter if fact I have a Leupold 1-4X VX Hog on my 350. I've had bad luck with Burris scopes, I feel dollar for dollar Vortex is a better value.
The Crossfire is their budget line, a viper is a big step up in glass.

I have Vortex Diamondbacks on my 30-06 and the wife’s 308 and like them, the crossfire came with the 350 as part of the XP package. It’s not near as nice as the diamondback. I’m considering the two scopes I mentioned due to being calibrated for the 350 round.

In that case I'd definitely go Leupold.
As to calibrated reticles my experience that since they're calibrated for a specific load at the highest power, if you stray they're off just a bit.
I end up using my Streloc app to get more exact anyway, so most any ballistic compensator will work.
This is my 350 with my 147XTP handloads with my scope.

I own more Leupold than Burris but I’d chose Burris. My 350 actually wears a Bushnell Prime 1-4x as there’s not much call for higher magnification in the caliber.

Burris makes better glass dollar for dollar and IMO Leupold is asking too much for what they currently offer, given the cheaper turrets they’ve chosen for the VX line.

If you are happy with the Burris and the way it looks to you there would be no reason to spend the extra $100. I'm not sure the Freedom gives you much more for that $100.

For me the Leupold eyebox seems more generous and they seem brighter to me. I own two VX Freedoms and a couple other VX-1 and VX-2 Leupolds.

I bought the VX-Freedom 3-9X40mm 350 Legend Duplex for my Savage Axis 350 Legend and put it on a Picatinny rail with EGW mounts. The glass looked good and once set up on the number 1 at 100 yards, it can easily be dialed to number 2 to hit at 200 yards. I liked the scope so much I bought an identical scope for an AR-15 350 Legend.
