Hello, this is my first post on this site. I have a .357 Dan Wesson Pistol Pack with 2 1/2 inch bbl, 6 inch bbl, 10 inch vent bbl, with 3 grips and case that I have owned for over 20 years. A friend of mine is asking to buy it and I dont have a clue on the value.

On this gun there is only a serial number and not a model number, making it impossible for me to search for a value. Its a good friend and I dont want to cheat him, and I dont want to cheat myself either. Its had less than 300 rounds shot through it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Mookie55

A 4 barrel with the 2 original grips and the fitted suitcase went for $550 at a retail store here about 5 months ago ... lowest I've seen for that set for awhile. It was about 95% shape. If the condition is about the same and you have both grips and the case, I'd say 650 would be about right.

I have one with the 4 and 8 inch barrels and the pouch and bought it for $200.00 en near perfect condition.

I would recommend that you hold onto it. However if you really want to sell it I would want $800 to $900 for it if everything is in near new condition.

Thanks for all the responses.

How would I go about getting the model of this gun, it doesn't have it posted anywhere on the gun, just the seriel number?

If it's blue then most likely it's a Model 15. If it's stainless then it's probably a Model 715.

If it looks like the ones pictured in the links above, it is the model 15. It should be almost the exact size of a K frame Smith.

I'm jealous. I traded my Dan Wesson model 15 years ago for a Win 94 30-30. Worst gun trade I ever made. It was the best shooting pistol I've ever owned. Unless you just really don't want it, I'd say hang onto it.
