Well I was hoping that a new supply brass was going to get made by Remington at the being of this year but i have seen none on come on the market. Is there another caliber that I could cut down to make some out of?

No, not in this country.

A rimmed .222 Mag might be almost the right size, and it is loaded in Europe as the 5.6x50 Magnum.

But it would be real scarce & expensive here.

you could call starline brass but you would have to have a minimum order of 10,000 cases and they will cost extra to set up the tooling

If enough .357 Max shooters called Starline?
They would probably take the hint people want & need them, and make them better then Remington makes them.

Midway lists Remington 357 Maximum brass as a regular item. I just checked and they show it as out of stock, but listed as being available in July, 2012.

The reason I knew they list them is because my friend across the street reloads them and I'd been checking around to see whether any were available anywhere online. He only has about 200 of them and was getting concerned about never being able to replace them as they wear out.

A major vendor at bill good mans gunshow in Dayton oh had it in stock, new, pretty sure it was starling. Not sure if this helps any but it may get you started

I just ordered 2000 pieces so I will have some stash sitting on the shelf. It has been about a year or so since it was in stock so plan accordingly.

Try Mike Bellm, he has brass in stock, and knows more about this cartridge than anyone. I had him rechamber a new 12" Contender barrel to 357 Max, and it is absolutely amazing on the 200 meter target and rams! 1"-2" 100 yard groups are typical with Hornady's 180 XTP, with several groups at 3/4"!!

Midway expects availability in mid September now of this year :(
Glad I have what I do.
As RCmodel said, send an email to Starline, I am. Love their brass.

It's back in stock at Midway.

I also noticed a couple of days ago that Midway had sold out of all their .357 Maximum brass, and it was before I got an order in. I was annoyed at myself for having waited a couple of days....never thought they'd be out of stock so quickly. The site initially indicated that it would be back in stock in June, 2013. A few days later, it indicated that it would be back in stock in Sept, 2012. I put myself on a notification list so they'd let me know when it was again in stock, and surprise.....2 days later, I get an email notifying me that it's back in stock. So, being afraid of missing out again, I put the order in quickly and will soon have that brass that I've been looking for for many months.

Clark,

Not hoarding, just a couple of years supply. It has been roughly a couple of years since it was last produced. I have 3 Maxes to kept fed so I grabbed 2000 while I could. Considering at full power the brass does not last long, I figured this was a couple of years supply for me.

I usually get the gun first then set up for reloading it. I find the Max hard on brass when you go hot. I figure its a max so lets go for it.

Lot of fun to shoot one. You should get a gun to go with that brass!
