380 Pistols

I called Beretta to ask about the .32 ACP conversion kit and the person I spoke to told me that it was still in the works.

Personally I cannot see any desire for a 32.cal for the Pico. I say this, because the pistol is already so mild to shoot and such little muzzle flip. I guess a 32 would benefit some folks. But it has been so long, that I really do not think Beretta is going to do this with the Pico. JMO.

Considering how long it was between when Beretta announced the Pico and when it actually hit the stores, I wouldn't hold my breath.

As long as we're talking .380, what's the deal with the new PPK/S? The one with the US-made frame and the German-made slide? And the longer beavertail? Anybody seen one in real life yet?

Right now they're under $200 at some of the online retailers.

And the thing is, I would pay the price of the Seecamp for the Pico, if that was the cost. And I can understand the cost of the Seecamp. I would not mind owning one for a collection, but just cannot justify the cost for anything else, since I believe the Pico to be a much better value with better features, at least for what I desire in a Pocket gun. Personally I think the Pico is one of the best values in the gun world. It is common for owners to comment "I cannot believe the gun only cost this much". Which reminds me, that I do want to get a third gun, just for a safe queen.

Fortunately today it is possible to find the S&W BG380, the Pico, the LCP, the Taurus Spectrum, the Remington RM380 and several more on sale for under $200.00 pretty regularly.

IMO, there are only 2 reasons to have a plastic gun, weight and cost. Plastic just isn't very expensive. Even though I own 4 of them, I really don't like them. They don't feel like guns; they feel like toys.

The p32 definitely feels like a little toy pistol. Not knocking it at all... just so light. And the green color probably played a part as well.

Then the Remington RM380 might be one you could consider since it is steel slide and aluminum alloy frame. But it does have plastic grip panels.

I bought a RM380 from a guy I know and it worked good but it shot high and to the right, no way to adjust it.

I traded it for a Kimber Micro 380 and I love it, right out of the box I shot a 2 inch 7 shot group in the bulls eye at 7 yards. I also don't like plastic guns, metal and nice wood grips is my preference.
