Over the last couple of days I have rented all three, while ihave not fired that many rounds throuhg any of them, I must say I enjoyed the G26 the best.

:what:

I was all set not to like the Glocks and to not like the subbie at all but man it fired like a dream. It was accurate the recoil was not bad and it is light and handy.

When I first went to look at autos I did not like the Glocks because when I was gripping them it was just plain uncomfortable. However when shooting them I did not notice...at all.

:banghead: This mucks things up...I was so ready to buy an XD 9 but real world experience has me doubting going in this direction.

I hope this means I don't have to register at Glocktalk...:uhoh:

you have to get used to it

If you want simplicity and reliability and you want a gun easy to maintain and disassemble/work on, a Glock will suit you. You just have to accept the grip.

It's a no-frills gun that works almost always. You have to grow into it rather than expect it to conform to you.

Well it's just a bullet launcher, what the hell...

You shouldn't dismiss the XD until you try the equivalent of the 26, i.e. the XD Sub. Just like the 26 feels different than the 17, so does the XD 4" Vs. the XD Sub.

This site has some nice pictures of the XD Sub, and has a section on carrying it concealed. Also, it's hilarious.

Ol'Sarge2K...

The problem is that my local shop only gets one or two a month and those are usually pre-sold. So they have told me that one will not make it into the rental case.

That means that I would have to find someone who has one to let me shoot it.

And the 26 is calling to me RIGHT NOW...buy me...buy me...buy me...I don't know if I'll be able to resist.

While I loved shooting the Gs I was concerned about the ejection of the cases.

The XDs I have shot threw the case out just fine, but the Gs seemed like they were shooting the case out of the port.

These things were bouncing hard off the ceiling of the range, then off the divider then off of me.

It went like this: BANG-THWOCK-CLACK-DAMN! BANG-THWOCK-CLACK-OW! BANG-THWOCK-CLACK-DAMN!

Is this normal? Are Glocks strong ejectors compared to other brands?
