Ok im new to the board so bear with me please. im in the market for a 40 caliber weapon now i want either a glock or ruger nothing else.
This is where i need your help i want a pistol and a rifle that are 40 cal that takes the same round and the most important thing is it both the pistol and rifle must take the same magazine,

im gonna get a ruger pc4 carbine but is there a pistol that holds the same magazine?what about the sr40 pistol?

I also like the 40 glock but what rifle takes the same magazine?

ive hear that you could take a ruger pc4 and modify it to accept the 40 glock magazines is this true?

sorry for all the questions at once i just really cant fgure this out. thanks

I believe it is the Ruger P94 that uses the same mags as the PC4.

    I have a PC9, they're good shooting little rifles.

Desert, I am not sure if the same is true for the .40 but the Keltec pistol carbine uses Glock mags... maybe they make a .40?

Kel-Tec does indeed make a .40 version of the Sub-2000. It'd be perfect to go with a Glock.

    What he said.

But it's not a Glock or Ruger.

The Ruger would be the P944. It says P94 on the slide but P944 is the catalog number for the .40 caliber P94's.

Sub 2000s come in .40 and 9mm, magazines fit Glock 17/22 or 19/23, Sig, S&W 59 and Beretta 92. Its pretty trivial to change magazines from one maker to another except for Glock. If its a Glock it can only ever fit Glock magazines and the others can never fit Glock magazines.

Another satisfied sub2000 owner here, mine is in 9x19 and eats from Glock 19 (or longer G17 or 33-round) magazines.
    I love it, and I don't even own/like Glocks!

I have a Glock 22 & 23, & used to have the sub-compact (27?) too. I also have a Ruger 944TH. You cannot go wrong with any of these pistols. And the .40 S&W is a great round.
Be aware that .40 cal Glocks sometimes (but not often) will jam. I've had it happen twice, for no reason. (I bought them new, was not limp-wristing, and the gun was broken-in.) I can't remember which one (or two) did it, but the sub-compact never jammed, but I probably hadn't shot more than 200 rds in it before I traded it.
I like the P94 best because it has a de-cocker and can be charged, de-cocked and safely carried, ready to go in DA. And it just seems like a nicer made & grippable gun.

    My 2 cents anywho.
