I carry a sig 239 sas 40 and am considereing switching barrels to 357. Anybody done it.

I like the 357Sig better than the 40S&W. If you have the 357 barrel, just switch back and forth. IMHO, Sig is the best platform for it(make sinse to me because they made the 357 auto cartridge)! I don't have a 239, but I have 5 other Sigs(working on the 6th) that can shoot the both calibers.

I have done it with both a P239 and P229. Be aware that Sig has P239 mags specifically made for the 357Sig round. 357Sig will work in 40S&W mags, but there is a reason Sig made the necked down mags.

Also be aware that your pistol may shoot low with the 357Sig round. This has to do with the greater muzzle velocity of the round causing less flip before the bullet leaves the barrel, so says Sig.
