I just joined the club a week or so ago, and have decided that I enjoy being a member to this wonderful club. I am now looking for new grips along with a perfect holster to winter conceal carry mine. I have been looking to get better pictures but it has rained all week.

I'll play. .44 Mag is one of my favorite cartridges. This here's a S&W 629-1 on which I installed compact grips. It's not comfortable with full power magnum loads, and it's a pussycat with .44 spls. Mostly I shoot intermediate power reloads.

So far, I've not jumped into this caliber, but the 5.5" stainless Super Blackhawk is calling me!!!

The 44 Magnum and the reloader go together like bread and butter. It's the most versatile and accurate handgun caliber there is. I have four of them ranging in barrel lengths of 3,6,10, and a Winchester lever action with a 16 incher.

I can join this club. This picture is of a doe I shot last November on opening day of deer season. I got her from about 40 yards with the revolver pictured, a Smith and Wesson model 629-1, with an 8 3/8" barrel. It wears a Weaver scope, 2x, with Houge grips. The grips have a homemade screw that doubles as a 1 point sling mount, which helps to steady the gun for offhand shooting. I shot this deer with a handload of 270 grain Speer Gold Dot Jacketed Flat Point, over 20 grains of H-110. I got a complete pass-through at 40 yards broadside, (of course), and she went about 50 yards before falling dead. I can't wait to kill another with this gun this season. In the off season, I plink with 240 grain cast lead over unique. It wasn't a trophy buck, but good table meat nevertheless.

I've gota 4" and 6" and will likely pick up an 8" when it comes along at the right price.

Resistance is futile! Here's my 5.5" SBH that I converted to a Bisley. Much more comfortable to shoot with full power loads than the 3" 629.

Not nearly as nice as a lot of the others pictured in this thread but she's mine. Just rejoined the 44 mag club today!

Here is a pic I just took of my 44 Magnums I referenced in post #5. I've been wanting to take a family pic of them for a while and this thread made me do it. My Winchester 94, Smith models 29-2, 629-6 and my Freedom Arms 44.

bsms, nice grip inserts on your Alaskan. Are they from 41 Magnum?

Hey, if this is a "club" thread, the price of admittance has to be a picture!

Beautiful 629 Classic Which is wearing S&W 500 magnum grips which covers the back strap and makes this such a smooth soft shooter.

Here is my contribution: .44 mag Ruger Blackhawk with 4 5/8" barrel. Notice the round trigger guard. This one has been my faithful companion for many miles as a boar hunting guide in South Texas.

Huntershooter, that 4" pre-29 is a dream. One of my most sought-after guns. Some day I'll find one. Until I amuse myself with these two:

    1) 1985-ish Lew Horton 3"
    IMGP5381.jpg

    2) 1970 vintage nickel 29-2 4"

Man those are some pretty guns ya'll are showin on this thread... just wow
My Grandfather started the .44 mag tradition in my family with one of the original Ruger Super Blackhawks. Then my Dad got one. My Dad got me mine for a college graduation present. Guess that makes me third generation .44 magger in my family :)
