    hey

my roommate got a Marlin 44 magnum rifle for his birthday yesterday and today had the idea of getting a matching pistol.

does anyone make a 44 magnum semi-auto pistol other than the Desert Eagle? I keep coming up with DE's and revolvers.

    thanks
    sean

LAR Grizzly made .44's years ago, Desert Eagle is only one now. Automag was a custom .44 caliber, not the .44 Rem Mag.

    thanks for the info.

from what i can tell it must be tough to try and fit the length of the 44 mag into a manageable grip size that would fit the average user.

Wildey also makes a 44 auto mag .

Revolvers in .44 magnum are easier to find and usually less expensive. S&W 329 is one, the Ruger Blackhawk is another.

The revolvers are also a lot more reliable, in my experience, but a desert eagle at the range does turn heads.
