I feel it loses a lot of energy and may not create enough damage for a quick kill at longer ranges. Call me what you will but I am the guy who uses V max bullets out of a 223rem for groundhog work because it usually turns them inside out. I want something that is going to destroy as much organs as possible so the deer doesn't run for 5-10min before it dies. I shot my doe at 60yards with a 300gr 45-70 bullet in the lungs. She stood there for about 60 seconds before deciding she was going to run. The more kinetic energy the better IMO.
Well then, for YOU, a 460 Wby. with 600 grain bullets should be a good starting point...

The rest of us, will use a 44 mag. out to 100 yards with no problems at all...

If you can't replace it because it's not replaceable, why replace something you can't use anyhow? I mean, if you won't use it, who cares if a part breaks and it's not functional, if it's not going to function? !!!! I have a bazillion rounds through my Ruger .44 Carbine, and no part has ever broken.

Just because it's irreplaceable doesn't mean I don't shoot it and enjoy the rifle. I have better options at my disposal.

Also have a 1970 Chevelle SS396, by using your logic I should call up a cousin of mine, jump some dirt road bridges all while out smarting the sheriff.

Okay I thought you were saying you don't shoot it. But I think you did say you don't hunt with it. So, by your logic, you might start the chevelle up in the garage, but never drive it. !! :) Or something like that. If your cousin looks like Daisy Duke, DANG! I wanna go too.
