Ok i have been shooting 300 gr hp out of my browning 1878, i have some 350 gr jsp, and im going to load them whats the max load for imr 3031? I use 61 gr with the 300 gr hp, my book shows 55gr max load with 350 grs, i have only two loading books, and yes these loads are in the +p loading data, i am thinking 60 gr with the 350? I have grouped these in my gun years ago ind the shot realy good, but not as good as the 300 gr hp, i want to stay with 3031, thank you, csa

    Who knows?

Lyman #49 says 57.0 grains IMR-3031/350 Speer bullet is a max "Strong Single-Shot" load.

Hornady says 59.6 with thier 350!

At any rate, I think 60.0 might be a bit much for a Hi-Wall!

I agree with rcmodel, 60 grains sounds a bit heavy! I would start around 55 and work your way up.
