45 Gap bullets in 45ACP

    I saw some 160 grn all copper bullets for sale as 45 Gap projectals I can't think of any reason they:confused: can't be used in 45 acp. Am i wrong?

    Delta53 only had one question "Am I wrong?" the answer was no. If he was talking about loaded ammunition the answer would be yes and no. Gap and ACP head space off the case mouth in pistols so one shouldn't shoot gap in an ACP chambered pistol. A revolver that uses moon clips does not head space off the case mouth, so if it's strong enough for the higher pressure GAP round (like the 625) you would be ok.

    un loaded

    I should have been more clear the un loaded bullets were adversized as 160 gn gap all copper projectles and i have not seen many if any loaded or unloaded bullets for 45 ACP less than 185 gns since they head space off the case as long as the oal is in spec the grns will not make a diffrence within reason. Thanks just did not want to take it for granted and have a problem.:banghead:

    Why would anyone just write "No". when someone needs help and asking a question? I think he deserves a better answer than that. Why bother to answer?
