Looking for a no frills, quiet .223 can for my 16in AR. Not really concerned about weight, construction material, or fancy QD devices. Only really concerned with the most DB reduction for the least amount of money. I have done a little research and it looks like the YHM Phantom or the SRT hurricane XL might fit my bill. Looking to stay around or under $600
Thanks
Jason

First off, I only own one can, so take that with a grain of salt. The one can is a YHM 7.62 Phantom. I use this on my AR-15's. AR-10, FN PBR, and AK when the mount comes in.

It is a lil on the heavy side. But stainless and inconel are heavy metals. It has a robust blast baffle. My main use is on a 10.5" barrel 5.56 AR. My wife cant hear me shoot from inside the house 40 yardds away. It makes it sound like a .22lr to the shooter, but the noise doesnt "carry"

Are there better cans out there? Sure. But I am in search for the "bang for the buck" factor. I used theyre customer service because I needed a custom threaded mount made. They quoted me: 5-8 weeks, $79 for mount and $50 for custom threading and $15 shipping. I got it at my door in 5 days with no charge for custom threading.

I am happy with my purchase and will purchase from them again.
