Hi guys I'm new to this rifle thing. I've had guns all my life but I want a AR. My dealer ordered me a Spikes Tactical .223 lower. What are some good websites to buy the uppers?? I'm looking for a 10.5". Thanks in advance.

A 10.5" upper receiver onto a standard AR rifle lower is defined legally as a short barreled rifle, which is subject to NFA regulations. The shortest barrel length allowable for a rifle is 16 inches without paying a $200 tax stamp.

You can go through the NFA process and go for a short barreled rifle, or you can just put it onto a "pistol" receiver that does not have a buttstock on it. It will still have a buffer tube, however.

The NFA regulations do not apply to SBR's in Puerto Rico.

^^^ That is an outstanding deal. Get it with the LMT BCG for the $119. You probably are gonna beat that deal anywhere.

    Nice find Strut!

I did a little searching for my first build and thats what I ended up going with. I'm happy with it. At the time BCGs were hard to find in stock so I went with a Spikes FA BCG, MOE handguards, and a BCM Gunfighter charging handle.
