TOU, it was at a local gun range and it was a rental gun that had 300 rounds thru it, so they say, but after field stripping and inspecting it I believe the round count. That one is the all black with gray controls and i have to admit I really prefer my FDE colored one more. Its nice to have two different colored ones tho.

.22 spitfire/ 5.7mm johnson has more energy, more range, and can fire the same bullets with a flatter trajectory than 5.7x28mm, and i believe it only requires a barrel change.. so that setup would be perfect for small game

I personally wouldn't get one, but I can see the appeal and do want the 5.7 round to get more popularity. I personally don't like the AR-15 uppers because you lose a lot of retail on the top rail for it, and while the P90 is awesome, the PS-90 looks like the crazy uncle nobody wants to talk to.

Thx...a buddy of mine bought one last month with an honest 200-300 rnds out of it for $850 out the door. Hopefully I can find one something like that at some point.

Agreed...I probably wouldn't get either of the AR style personally...especially since I have the PS90 now. I also agree with you on the barrel of the PS90 vs the P90...hence the plan to SBR it shortly. THAT is the way this firearm was designed to be and is also the length of barrel (10.5") that the cartridge was designed around. One gains very little with a 16" barrel over the 10.5" with this cartridge...and sight radius is irrelevant & doesn't enter the discussion on a PS/P90.

One of the things I don't like about the PS90 and the AR uppers is the 50 round mags and the top loading design. Sure 50 rounds is great but carrying them would be awkward. And the top loading design gets in the way of decent optics.

I hear what you're saying...and they are definitely not for every one, that is for sure. They are a funny weapon...once you have spent the money and forgotten about that hit, they grow on you more and more. The more I play with mine the more I am struck by the innovation and revolutionary design of these weapons. As to the top loading 50 round magazines...THAT is one of the things I actually love. Put TWO together like this...

...and you have 100 rounds good to go...on board at a moments notice. I find that tough to do with with any other carbine. (5.56 in beta mags are much more bulky to be sure.)

BTW caring another additional +100 rnds doesn't really seem so bad and 200+ seems like more than enough for most situations I can think of using this in.

Another nice thing is that a top rear mounting magazine like this allows it to simply spit the empty brass out the back/bottom of the rifle...not flinging it to H#!! and back. (Can also put a quiet bag shell collector.)

As to optics/sights...well that is something you like or don't but I will say they are more ergonomic & intuitive than I would have thought.

Yeah, I've got one was underwhelmed with the handling. I realize that's probably just me though. I've got less than 200 rounds through it because I just didn't like how it felt shooting it. Maybe if I could put some different optics on it I might like it more but the options there are pretty slim.

No, what I've really been hoping for was a light polymer carbine like the ones keltec makes that accept the pistol magazines. Put a rail on top so I can mount different optics on it and I'd be all over that.
