I love list and they are fun to do on these forums. So here is another.

Lets say you have you have your tools out of the way. Home defense, conceal carry, ect. What five 9mm should everyone own for a complete collection. Just to own in your collection and to shoot on range.

I own 3 that I would in include

    1) CZ 72

    2) Glock 19

    3) S&W 5906 ( or at least one 3rd Gen)

This is where it gets hard. What should be the last 2? I think 1 is an easy choice.

    4) Browning Hi Power

Now what. A few options come to mind

    5) Sig 226

    5) Walther P1/P38

    5) Beretta 92

Also it seems I am missing a sub compact and need another polymer gun since the caliber is so well suited for polymer.

    Anyway what is your list?

I have R9 and S&W 940 and plan no further additions. Went with 10mm for full size handgun.

My list of five, of which I only have one:

    1) Any Glock 9mm (I have a G26)
    2) Browning Hi-Power
    3) CZ-75
    4) Beretta M9/92FS
And of course any 9mm Luger collection wouldn't be complete without the cartridge's namesake pistol:
    5) Luger P08

    1. My Hard Chromed Browning Hi-Power
    2. I want to replace the Sig P228 that I was stupid to sell off, with EITHER a Sig M11-A1, an H&K P30 LEM trigger variant, or a Dan Wesson Guardian 9mm
    3. My Gen 3 Glock 17
    4. My Sig P225
    5. My Springfield 1911 9mm will be traded for whatever I wind up with in "2"

CZ 75 (for reliability, accuracy, and hunting paper targets)
Kimber Solo (for deep concealed carry)
Springfield EMP (for IWB/OWB concealed carry)
    Kel-Tec Sub-2000 (because why not?)

    1. Browning Hi-Power - the classic single action 9MM
    2. Glock 17 - the classic striker fired 9MM
    3. Beretta 92FS - it may not be the classic TDA 9MM, but it's one of the few still made, so you wouldn't have to worry about it if it ever broke or wore out. You could get another.
    4. SIG P226 - the classic decocker only 9MM
    5. CZ75B - the classic DA/SA with the option for cocked & locked carry 9MM

SIG 226R - HD and range
    SIG 228 - collect
Glock 26 - car and CC
Glock 17 or 19 - project range gun, replace everything, completely trick out just for fun and interest
XDs or Kimber Solo - CC

My "Top 5" 9mm list (in no particular order):

    1. Walther P99AS (easily the best striker-fired polymer 9mm ever made)
    2. SIG-Sauer P226
    3. CZ-75
    4. Browning High-Power
    5. Glock 17 (not the best, but so prolific it's hard not to include)

    Special Mention: SIG P210

Please note I only included full-size pistols for the sake of this list. There are so many great 9mm pistols out there, it would be easy to make a whole series of "Top 5" lists.
