First thing's first, everyone thank BDS for convincing me that you hooligans could be trusted with a super secret exclusive coupon code.

Now that that's out of the way, I want to show my appreciation for the support this forum has always given us. I learned most everything that I know about reloading, firearms, and good manners from guys on this forum. So, for THR members only I have added a coupon code for 5% off. The coupon code is thehighroad5 and for us to accept the order you will need to put your THR name in the "notes" section of the order. The purpose behind this coupon is twofold.
1) It shows our appreciation for contributing THR members who have helped us grow from day one up until today.
2) It should reward those on the forum who contribute to the discussions enough to find the code.

We really don't want this code getting out of the THR community so please do not share it with anyone who does not contribute to THR in some way or another. If we find that the code is getting used too much by folks outside of the forum we will have to remove it or change the code. And that's just more work than my lazy butt can do very many times before I give up. So, if you do a group buy or something please encourage those in the group to join the forum and be a part of the community. Thanks again for the support and enjoy one of the small benefits of "taking the high road."

Jake, you kept me in bullets when no one else had them and you never gauged. You are the best even if you do ruin our mailboxes. (I can't let that post go).

(BDS, thank you, you truly are one the thr greats).

The only gripe I have is you don't sell 41MAGNUM BULLETS MAN.

I'm just kidding. That will never be a deal breaker for me. Keep up the good work and I can't wait to try the 2K of 9mm thick plate I just bought from you.

(On a side note though, I would love some 41magnum thick plate, hard core bullets) BUT I'm NOT PUSHIN YOU ON THIS, you know.

Say hi to Ryan for me.

41MAGNUM BULLETS MAN

I can get you a few thousand pulled soft points. They aren't very pretty though so I passed on them. If you want them they will be in the $200 per 1000 range because they are jacketed and extremely rare.

Keep up the good work and I can't wait to try the 2K of 9mm thick plate I just bought from you.

Please let us know how they do. If the main calibers and grains take off (right now all we are selling are the 115, 124 9mm, 100 grain RN .355, 180 grain .40, and 230 grain .45.) we will be trying to expand. Granted, I have a feeling it may take a while before we are able to say that the others are stable enough to justify expanding the line.

Last I looked, all your jacketed .40 / 180gr bullets were pulled. Was hoping to find plated. But now its tempting to try some pulled anyway...

Well, Jake definitely went over the top on my suggestion.

I initially suggested that he consider offering 5% off THR discount for bullets only but looks like he's generously offering the 5% off discount on EVERYTHING on RMR's website, including AR upper/lower receivers, stripped lowers, AR parts, brass and other shooting accessories, all with FREE shipping!!!

And no, I am absolutely not getting anything from Jake - I am just another happy customer who has enjoyed many years of products and service and thought the 5% discount would be a win-win proposition for THR and RMR, especially because Jake as longdayjake on THR is able to cater to member requests when he is able in order to better meet our reloading/shooting needs. If you have a particular item you desire, you can PM or post on this thread. Chances are, he will try to get them added to his stock (and email you when they are in stock).

Now I may seriously consider ordering 12K of mixed 115/124 gr plated 9mm bullets. 5% off $62/1000 with free shipping? WOW! Where can you get new plated bullets that cheap? That's lead bullet pricing - http://shop.rmrbullets.com/9mm-115-...se-1000-Count-9mm-115-124-Mix-RNP-1000-Ct.htm

One request that I do make is that since he is good at finding seconds/pulled/premium bullets, perhaps he can continue to add other reloading/shooting supplies/equipment to his website, particularly consumable items so they can be shipped together with bullets I order. :D With free shipping, currently I can mix any combination of jacketed/plated/lead bullets but why stop there? How about making RMR a one-stop shopping experience for the most popular reloading/shooting items?

FYI, Jake also runs free weekly give aways on RMR's facebook page if you like/share/post on the FB page (last week's give away was 500 box of 62 grain FMJ boat tail .224) - https://www.facebook.com/pages/Rocky-Mountain-Reloading/162342093859053

Once again, thanks Jake for the THR discount!!!

BTW, RMR sponsors True Pierce match shooter where he took first on this stage and 5th overall at 2014 Crimson Trace Midnight 3 Gun Invitational (look at those RMR bullets fly!)

Thank you Jake! Wasn't familiar with your company. Just checked out your site and looks like I have some shopping to do.

We just barely got in a new line of thickly plated .40. 180's. I have been really busy the last couple of days getting a house that we bought back in 2007 ready to sell so I haven't taken the time to put them on the website. Give me a little more time and they will be up on the website.

Sweet. I'll watch for those. The plated 9mm I ordered a while back were really nice.

I have a feeling you may get a lot of orders with Walkalong/rcmodel etc. in the "notes" section of the orders as some of us have multiple houses all over the country ... ;) :D

Well, I didn't get the memo. Or, should I say that I didn't remember this offer yesterday when I ordered $400+ in one order and then a few minutes later remembered something else and made another $100+ order. I am upset with myself but adhere to the old saying "If you're stupid, you got to be tough." I really need to add some post-it note to my computer screen reminding me of the few such THR discounts being offered.

Here is a mighty fine compliment. The orders initiated around 12-1 PM yesterday. Around 3:00 yesterday, I received a notice of shipment with tracking # and, this morning tracking says that the products have already left ID, made it to the WA postal hub and has already left there toward my destination. Pretty darn good effort on RMR's part. Thank You.

Ah man. I will have to start checking THR more often. Placed an order late last night and then read the post after ordering. Oh well, there will ALWAYS be more bullets to buy and shoot. Thanks longdayjake.

Well I was on the brink of throwing down on some bullets weekend before last, but thought, well I already have a half a shelf that I need to load up.

Then you throw this up and well I dropped the hammer on an order anyway. The wife probably won't see the appreciation in it but hey, I do. Thanks for the offer it did make the difference.

Now I have to get busy and show her they aren't simply to look good sitting on the shelf.

Hmm, my kids are going to need some .40 cal 180s.

as some of us have multiple houses all over the country
Let's hope folks do not abuse this very nice offer, else we will lose it. ;)

What I proposed to Jake was to initially test a 5% promo code to see if the increase in sales volume would work out on his bottom line profit margin. For him to commit to a 5% THR discount code without an expiration date is a risk he is taking for the future of his business, his wife and a new baby. Yes, RMR is another mom and pop American dream in the making like Brad and Jo Ann of Missouri Bullet Company which was seeded and grown on THR also. I guess we could consider THR to be a small business incubator and time to grow another company. :)

If you want the 5% discount to continue, do consider ordering from RMR as I am hoping the increase in sales volume would allow Jake to continue to maintain his prices and perhaps allow RMR to expand their inventory to include other reloading/shooting items to benefit us. Think of ordering from RMR with 5% THR discount as an investment in our reloading future that our children/grandchildren will enjoy also. Imagine 10 years from now seeing posts like, "Yup, longdayjake is my dad and I am helping him run the business ... which is doing my "chores". How many boxes of bullets do you need today?" :D I think it is a win-win proposition with a huge upside.

RMR is one of the last remaining vendors on THR who actively participates and responds to THR member questions and needs. Having this resource is huge and has the potential that is only limited by us. Review your reloading needs and post that need for Jake and chances are, he may be able to better meet those needs at very competitive price point along with FREE SHIPPING and 5% discount!

So, let's start posting what our highest consumable reloading items are so we can help Jake help us.

I will start.

Jake, my highest reloading consumable items are 9mm/40S&W/45ACP bullets by far even though I reload 380/9/40/45/.223/.300BLK/.308. Lead and plated bullets are my go to components due to cost but if the prices are close enough, I will buy plated/jacketed. I plan to build/buy 9mm AR carbines so I am seriously thinking about buying 12K 115/124 gr new plated RN at unbelievable $62/1000 pricing BEFORE the 5% discount! That's lead bullet pricing. Unbelievable.

I have a lot of brass on hand but that may change after retirement as my shooting will go from ranges to open fields and I anticipate loss of brass exceeding brass recovery. So I may be interested in brass in the future. I thought about buying a 55 gallon drum of mixed brass (and PIF brass I don't reload) but if you are looking to add bulk brass to your inventory, I would buy brass from you. And I prefer unprocessed brass.

Since THR seems to host many new reloaders, perhaps "new reloader bullet kits" may help them try various bullet types so they can determine which bullets they like and should reorder. I know that this is time consuming and may not be very profitable and many bullet vendors have dropped the "bullet sample packs" but I think there's a need and since you stock jacketed (FMJ and premium JHP)/plated (regular/thicker plated/Hollow Base)/lead bullets, who better to offer such bullet kits?

RMR has been fantastic for me. I've spread the word to my family and friends about the great prices and products. I'll keep the coupon info to myself though. Thanks!

Not at all!

Tell them about the THR discount code so that they can become THR members to enjoy the 5% discount.

That's helping Jake help us. ;)

Just yesterday I bought a 1000 more of the pulled HST 230gr .45s ... with the 5% discount.

Jake, I typed in the CouponCode and then my THR Handle info plus a Thank You in the Notes section, prior to hitting the Apply Code button ... which applied the Code ... and nuked everything in the Note section.

When I redid the Note Section, I forgot to add my Thank You ... so ... Thank You! ;)

Jake, I had another thought.

Instead of 5% "cash" discount, many of us may actually prefer to have comparable amount of bullets instead. I am thinking 50 extra bullets for 1000? This way, it would provide you with more operating capital and more bullets for us to shoot.

What do you think about this? Those of us preferring this option could type "bullets or bullets instead" next to our THR name/handle.

What about other THR members, what do you think? Would you prefer to have 5% more bullets to help Jake generate more operating capital?

The extra bullet thing doesn't really work well for us. We try our best to ship the same day that people order. We prepackage a lot of what we send out. I just see it causing a lot of mistakes from our packaging team and that wouldn't be good for our reputation or for our morale.

BDS has a good idea for a thehighroad5 coupon giveaway/pay it forward. I am sure he will wander in here soon and let you guys in on it.
