.50 Beowulf/ Alexander Arms

Does anyone know what the wait period is on orders through Alexander arms currently? I made a big order a couple weeks ago of an upper and some ammo and then a smaller order about a week later of more ammo. I know they are known to take a bit but i was just curious if anyone had any experience with recent orders.

just an update for those who may be ordering through Alexander Arms

Orders were made on 2nd Week of Feb 2012 an upper and some ammo then a seperate for mags and ammo

I would want to cancel if possible. IMHO that's too long of a wait for an unpopular caliber upper amd ammo. Place an order for another upper and ammo in 458socom with somebody else. Just my two cents.

Hmmm, if it's that unpopular you'd think they would have them on the shelf.

AA generally seems pretty slow when ordering something not in stock, they are still a small manufacturer in the scheme of things and get behind. I really like my .50 B upper though, extremely accurate for a big bore.

Yeah, my roommate ordered a .458 socom upper 2 weeks before i ordered my beo...he hasnt gotten anything either. Also the ammo isnt available for it either. When it is available it is 2 to 3 times the price of BEO.

We are set up for reloading, i was able to pick up several hundred rounds of starline virgin brass for the beo, he cant seem to locate anything that isnt back ordered or unavailable for 458. so other than being able to find the brass at the gun show we are in the same boat there

if you know of any place were 458 brass or ammo is in stock let me know, he would def appreciate it. last check of the Tep Jetsu sight (or whatever the hell its called) was back ordered but i think its been a bit since he checked as he was frustrated with the entire deal

I opted for the beo because i already have a .50AE eagle and reload, so i have the bullets and primers stocked. We both got the "other two" because my girlfriends dad has the .450 bushmaster which he can readily get ammo for and laughs at both of us. We have some pretty big boars here and we just got on the big boar AR craze a bit late i guess, since the whole world wants them now.

Cheaper than dirt in mckinney TX has 458 ammo in stock. Midway has 458 brass in stock.

Let me know if you get it. In email correspondense with them i learned that they were holding my complete orders for shipment. I.E. until all the different ammo was available nothing would ship. So i requested what was available to ship when available

My upper and some ammo and mags are on their way, they seperated my order by my request, shipping what was available and holding what is on backorder and shipping at later date. UPS tracking shows it here tomorrow.

Got it

Got my beowulf upper, extra mag and 335g FMJ ammo yesterday. Still have another couple hundred rounds yet to ship coming.

put the CASV-M freefloat system from VLTOR on it and the COMP4 Aimpoint

it took 3 shots to zero it in. Cutting dead bullseye at 75yds. Amazed by the power, amazed by the accuracy and it was well worth 2months wait.

My roommate is still waiting for the .458 socom he ordered from rock river a week before i ordered the beowulf.

just keeping everyone updated, things are starting to move out of alexander arms again.
