Not sure this is the right forum.

These animals are mal-nurished. I can't believe the county who rescued them won't put them down. I'm sorry they weren't released where they could find feed and maybe maybe not have been hunted. This is a rural mountain area.

More than 50 abandoned domestic, feral and Vietnamese pot belly pigs were seized during a two-day operation at a home in Stallion Springs on Monday and Thursday.

Here it is illegal to release a trapped feral pig.
Vermin.
I would not release a domestic or pet pig into the wild, either. It would either perish or go feral and become a pest.

They should be humanely killed.

Don't expect any common sense to enter into the solution to that problem. I've lived there and it's unbelievable sometimes. I would expect a million dollar relief fund to be put together to care for them.

Water cut off and bank involved says that the people ran out of money for pig food. Maybe the residents' name is "Loser"?

Rescue? Sorta like the crazy cat ladies. And I read occasional reports of seriously mal-nourished horses.

But this isn't about hunting--or any other THR forum. :)
