I am working to migrate THR from the current cluster to a new one. I would like to get this done before the weekend, but it's unclear what the timeframe will be, as testing is still ongoing. As I am writing this the new (rebuilt) host is doing a burn-in to ensure that everything will keep running under load.
When the migration happens users will see a Cloudflare message indicatating it cannot connect to the server. This is expected, and depending on how the migration goes this may last from 30 minutes to 3 hours - I won't know more until testing the various migration options is complete and I have finalized the plan.
More information is available in this thread.
As always, thanks so much for your patience.
Have the prices on older Pythons dropped that much? 5 years ago that would have been easily a $2,000 maybe up to $2,500 gun
that’s a good thing! New Python has dented the Colt Snake of the past. That’s a GOOD thing for people who prefer the Older Colts.Too high due to the missing stocks, IMO
yeah, I remember those mid $2,000 too. Now they are in the mid $1000Have the prices on older Pythons dropped that much? 5 years ago that would have been easily a $2,000 maybe up to $2,500 gun
It's an Old School Python in Royal Blue. What you guys think!
I should ask $1050!Expect to drop $400+ for correct stocks. I would not give $1200 for that.
interesting how some people would pay $1600 and other would not touch it for $1200.I would bust open the piggy bank, hand over 17 Benjamins, and giggle with glee while my wife yelled at me.
Definition of fair market value: The amount a buyer is willing to pay and a seller is willing to accept.interesting how some people would pay $1600 and other would not touch it for $1200.
Guess the value is in who willing to pay![]()
Thats about right, I’m willing $1400 because it’s a Pre-1960 - 7,700 serial#, very very good Royal blue except the buff mark on the barrel (can live with it).Definition of fair market value: The amount a buyer is willing to pay and a seller is willing to accept.
Note that's 46 bids in with nine more days pending (and then 18.5% for the Buyer's Premium atop the gaveled price). Condition is very similar to the one @Mark_Mark is looking at, if a three digit example.Very fine retaining most of the original finish, small area of pitting on left side of frame towards the barrel, light speckling on back strap, casual handling marks throughout. Mechanically fine.
those factory grips are worth more than the gun at this point… Note to self, look for factory python gripsFor a way to see just how much cachet the factory grips have, consider

if they accept my offer, I’ll literally shot .38 WC target load in a .357 case. .I got my GP100 for heavy magnum “Angry” loadsAccording to your chart I have one from 1969! If you buy it do not feed it a steady diet of full house 357's. It will fall out of time after awhile. Save the hot rounds for when you need them! I did not know that when I bought my on "69" and had to send it back to Colt to have it retimed!!
that Python is #536, as in the 536 Python off the line. In much better condition and all original. It doesn’t compare to what I’ll looking at. Bet the 1956 #536 will go for well over $4,000For a way to see just how much cachet the factory grips have, consider

Python sure have been losing their value since the new release. Well I guess that’s how it goes. But a beat up HDM for 850 that’s expensive. In my eyes the Colt Python is about the best looking DA revolver ever made. I owned one for a time back in the '80's but found I preferred my comparable S&W, eventually sold the Colt, and still have the S&W.
Couple of years ago at our local gunshow I saw an old Python that took my breath away. Not for the gun as it had been used a lot and the bluing was it bad shape. It was the $3800 price tag attached to it. It is not related to the OP but I also saw at the same show a rather beat up Hi-Standard HDM for only $850.
I ordered mine new in 1993 for the invoice price of $371.04 UPS/COD...take a truck load of them for that now.$3500! DANG
I think it helps that Rick is no longer on whatever is left of The Walking Dead.Have the prices on older Pythons dropped that much? 5 years ago that would have been easily a $2,000 maybe up to $2,500 gun
Walking Dead didn’t do it for me. Magnum Force was WAY coolerI think it helps that Rick is no longer on whatever is left of The Walking Dead.
I bought mine in 1969 for $175.00 and got a box each of 38 spl. and 357'sI ordered mine new in 1993 for the invoice price of $371.04 UPS/COD...take a truck load of them for that now.
